It's a bird.. It's a dress.. It's a .. romper?

It's crazy how quickly time flies. It feels like just yesterday I came home. Time really has flown... Like the misquitoes happily buzzing away in my backyard, unaware of how inconvenient their presence makes for me to go in my backyard. Or, like the ants in my house.. Except if they flew, instead of walked everywhere. (Yeah. I'm having bug issues. It's really bug-ing me.. Haha.). Yes, time has sped away, flapping it's wings rapidly.
Moral of my attempts to create a cheesy *ahem* - I mean, meaningful post (but then gave up, as it is 1AM and I am allowed): I am off again! Tomorrow, I'm leaving for Alberta. I pretty much go there annually, as a huge bulk of my relatives live there - cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma, etc. I'm super excited, especially to meet my brand new baby cousin!
Moral of my boring family life that no one really cares about: I won't be posting a lot. I'll probably have time/ access to a computer, so we will see. But then again, I may not. Just a heads up!

Stuff you may care about - today's outfit:
One of my "bag sale" finds, as mentioned in my last post..
It's not what it seems..

*Gasp*

(Dress/Romper-thing - Thrifted <$1, Belt - Thrifted - $1)

I know, right? Shocking. When I tried it on, I totally thought it was a dress. Somehow I ended up with two legs in one pant leg. I stood in the changing room, utterly confused. Alas, I realized it was a romper. Oh boy, oh boy... It's like a magic trick.

(Shoes - Keds/ Mum's, Socks - AEO)

I was on a hunt to find the perfect shoes for my outfit. From my cheap China town white flats, to my cheap purple Old Navy flats, I simply had nothing. However, I went into the closet downstairs to grab my dog's leash.. And oh my word! - I found these keds that must have belonged to my mum years ago. I secretly stole them and they have now found a home in my own room. Shhhh...

In other fashion-ish-related news:

Meet my new baby. I've spent $#!()@ hours sewing this thing. Advice?
1) Never use Burda patterns. Ever.
2) Buy more fabric than you think you need. (I learned the hard way.)
3) Bleaching denim is so much fun.. Try it :)

(Jacket - me!!.. Sorry, I had to)

I decided to use the leftover scraps for some good ole' fashion DIY. Ch-ch-check it out:

1) Flower clip

2) Bow-tie clip

3) Button headband

Alright. I think that's it. Hopefully I will talk to you all soon. If not. Enjoy your summer. Go outside. Fly a kite. Sew some... things for your hair.
(I don't know why I chose to use detached sentences. Let's pretend I'm making a point. A political point, nonetheless. You know..)

Okay. It's late. I'm allowed.

Toodles!
