"Bikes are for roads." Well, I don't want to get hit by a truck. Thanks, lady.

I AM SO EXCITED. Three months of blogging, and I have just reached 50 followers! Okay, so I know that that's not a ginormous number, or anything, but I'm really excited. (Yeah, not going to lie, I've been watching my blog followers number slowly increase from 46 to 50 this past week. I am such a dork.) So, yay! Thank-you blog followers. And commenters. And visitors. Seriously. You guys rock my socks! (And I haven't used that phrase since, like, grade 5 so I think it means that you guys really rock.) On that note, who else would like to follow me? On Twitter? I don't have it yet, but should I jump on the bandwagon? It seems like that's what all the cool kids are doing... So the big question: yes to twitter? Or is it as stupid as it seems? (Which it very well may not be, so I'm really not insulting it...)

Yesterday's Outfit:
I didn't actually realize how "dressy" this looked until, well, now. But whatever. I think everyone should dress up. Seriously. In an ideal world (one of my many ideal world ideas), everyone wakes up one day and gets dress up during the day (instead of at night) and proceeds with their usual, boring errands. I think it would make it all so much more fun.

(Dress - Value Village $8, Shoes - Mum's, Belt - Dad's)

Attempt at showcasing accessories. Fail, I know. I look like a celebrity dodging the paparazzi. But, in reality, the celebrity is more like a measly blogger and the paparazzi is more like my 13-year-old sister on my digital camera. Still, the concept's there...

(Acessories - Assortment)

Yay! It was a sunny day. As I was biking, I began to think, "Oh, god. I really hope I don't get a tan..."

(Tights - Liz Clairborne/ Winners $6)

Today's Outfit:
First time wearing the skirt I created, a few weeks back...

(Floral Shirt - H&M $5, Skirt - Homemade, Belt - Thrifted $1, Shoes - Mum's, Rings - Assortment)

I'm pretending I'm a bird. In case you couldn't tell. But, obviously, you could. I spread my wings and I learn how to fly... (My theme song during these photos. Yeah, you wish you were as cool as me. *Awkward Silence*)

Okay, I'm a huge dork... Moving on... Here's some of the skirt's detail.

In case you haven't been able to tell, I'm not really a fan of the "dainty" jewellery. I mean, they're gorgeous, but they're not really my style. Anyways, I was rummaging through some of my old jewellery and some how, I came across this pendant!

Perfect match, right? Coo-coo-crazy! (Note: Coo-coo is, like, a bird's noise. So I'm being clever. Ahem,"clever")

Anyways, that's all for today. These past two days I've been spending a lot of time sewing. And - yippee! - I've finished the pink skirt from the last post and DIY-ed a t-shirt. So, I'll be posting those very, very soon!

And should I get Twitter? Maybe my skirt should have said "Tweet Tweet" instead. Ha-ha. (Okay, lame joke. I don't even think it qualifies as "joke" because of the extent of it's lameness.)

Nevermind. Comment! Visiting your blogs tomorrow! Bye :)

EDIT : If you guys would like, I will post a skirt making tutorial soon! They're so easy and fun to make - everyone should have one :)

I love the shoes, masucline shoes on women are my new craving. I also love the sound of value village, I hear American/Candain people rave about it, and does indeed seem prett hench to have so much vintage clothing under a single roof.

Bahaha, I've had my blog for like a year and a half and I have... *drumroll* ONE follower. I'd like to die of embarrassment now.

I totally agree with you about the dressing-up part of life- how much more fun would it be to go grocery shopping if you got to see all sorts of fun, cute outfits while you picked up some lemonade?! (:

&I love the skirt you made. I'm going to attempt to create some fun things if I ever find my sewing machine, buried deep in my closet. And I can't wait to see the pink one either.

In case you didn't notice my enthusiasm, I'm adding you to my blogroll (:

oh i love that new header! gorgeous! thanks for your sweet comment.
here counts the same; as you can't be a casier (do you call it like this) most stores don't want people under 16. but c&a has a concept of cheap clothes, but not much service, so they like to hire 'cheap' people.

Hi GWTBT,

First: congratulations! I must admit I felt the same rush of excitement when I turned 100 (for the longest time, I didn't have the followers thing up). I'd gladly be your follower, if you'd like to be mine!

Also I've got you on my blog roll but don't see you on mine, I must have added you because you commented and I like your blog - so if you'd like to swap, i,e. add me (it's not like I'm taking yours down), I'm

jill @ http://streetstylelondon.blogspot.com/

By the way I'm loving the look of your blog. All those outfits are great. It's funny, for YEARS I hated that blue - I've got a Calvin Klein knitted suit that I'd bought years ago, and it looked so dated because of that colour - but suddenly this year, everywhere, it's so cool again. I've caught a lot of street shots (you'll see if you go back the last few weeks).

Well enough chit chat - gotta get back to something I'm working on. Just really came to say hi and WELL DONE!

And I totally, totally agree. Now that I'm an old married woman I'm happy to hang out at home at night, but I still like to dress up. I'm going to start doing it during the day, every day!
