not a fan of the overpriced drinks, but free wifi is enough to make me stay!

So... do you guys remember when I posted approximately a billion posts in one week? (This is a guesstimation, of course. But you get the principle.) (You say, "YES. Of course I remember!") Therefore, my previous diligence in blogging means that I can go almost a week without posting and YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING! Nah-nah-nah-boo-boo!

Ahem. Sorry. That was weird. Here is an outfit post from last week. I wore this to meet a designer. Dressing up was a bit of a challenge. I wanted to go with a more muted version of myself to echo the designer's designs... but it also had to be all, "SHBAM I'M STILL LEXY." Here is what I came up with.

LOOK AT MY CUTE HEADBAND...

... Yeah. You hoodlums know the drill... Do you like this headband? Do you want one for yourself? If so, check out my etsy! Woohoo. *Insert peppy cheers and pom poms and rah rahs and pyramids and the likes.*

Oh by the way, it really pains me to say this... but... well... I guess I'll just spit it out... There was an unfortunate incident involving Daisy (my dog) and, well, small children with sharp objects... Let's just say that we were lucky enough to salvage the non-bloody parts of her beautiful white mane and create a bag that will celebrate her doggy life forever... Her soul may not be with us, but her flesh and fur always will be. <3 (Note: AH I AM ONLY KIDDING OF COURSE. Knock on wood and cross fingers and all that jazz to ensure that this silly story never equates to reality. PLEASE.)

I hope you're all having a glorious summer filled with summery things and the likes. I'm soaking up the last few weeks with, um, screaming babies and crazy cousins before reality sets in. DUN DUN DUN! (i.e. wahhh, I need a job!)

What would be your *dream* (but realistic) job?

Meeting a designer? WHAT!? DEETS! I like muted Lexy, the colors look great on you! Still love the silly you though! ALways! Dream job? Something that lets me travel and work with clothes and the internet. That is all I do now anyways ;) xxAnisa

haha. Your "muted" look! You are so funny. And your poor doggy, even though that story was fiction. Dream job? um be a princess at Disneyland? Snow White? Take pictures with slobbering children? Eat pineapple floats every day. Yes.

omg I used to post quite often in a week, but now I have no time! I'm lucky if I make one post in two weeks. Summer's getting the best of me! Anyway, I can totally see your personal style...top, skirt, big blazer, tights, and a pair of flats. All in crazy prints and all in diff colours! Love! And my dream job: fashion editor/some kinda position in fashion business.

I think my dream job would be getting paid to do nothing but draw. And paint. On a glorious sunny beach somewhere far away from the rest of the world...

Love this outfit!!!! The blouse is so pretty!!!! My dream job would probably be reporting abroad for the NYtimes.... that would be awesome.
I hope you had a nice time meeting the designer!!! Now THAT'S awesome!!! :D

The furry bag simultaneously excites and scares me, ha! Anyways, my dream job would involve conducting interviews about fascinating people all over the world. Anyone that wanted to be interviewed would be considered!

Ha your daisy story cracked me up! I love your tiiigggghts - and how your "muted" look is still "wow-kazam!" (is that the opposite of muted? Maybe) by my boring standards!

Dream but realistic job? Thats a hard one ... a poorly paid journalist for a quirky magazine that no one reads?

oooh, meeting a designer? who, you must tell us who! I like how you merged yourself and the designer's neutral liking so nicely. the top and blazer are amazing, and a yellow skirt is perfect. I nearly fell for the story of your dog, pretty clever I must say. as for your question, my dream job that could be in reach is to work at a magazine, I'm not picky on the subject (well not a lanscaping or car magazine). and work up to become an editor, so my name can be listed with a million others in the first few pages.

This outfit is beyond awesome and so is your personality :) I was totally freaking out about the dog..but then, you know, it was a joke :) My dream job would be anything that involved photography! I would be in heaven.

Loving this outfit PER usual! I have to agree that it is a very toned down version of normal Lexy wear hahaha As for the dog bag... I actually believed you!!! I once watched a documentary of how these ladies started a business spinning thread out of the fur of pets. Basically the owner would shave off the fur from the past away pet and give it to these ladies to spin their magic. Depending on the amount you give them it could be a small basket, the size of you hand or large enough to make a hat!

i like that even though you wanted to be a bit more demure to meet with the designer you were still very Lexy in your outfit! i love your cool ring!

my dream job would be a someone who works for a fashion website who coordinates between the site and fashion bloggers...hard to explain, lol.

That's an intriguing detail you threw in there: "meeting a designer..."! Great combination of colour and print in your outfit. As for a dream job - for me, anything involving writing or photography, but preferably both.

I love that you said you met with a designer. Totally intrigued now!! Details, puhhh-lease!

I love how you toned down your normal craziness for the meeting and still kept the SHABAM side of yourself. iloveyousomuch. Let's get married and have tons of fur babies.

Look at you going all perfectly pastel on us...eek, I love it!!! I would love to take a shopping spree in your closet...it must be a layer in heaven, right? Anyways, I suppose my dream job would be something music related. Heck, if I could be a rock star, you better believe I totally would:)

Well, you certainly always look amazing, even as the "muted" version of yourself. ;) I LOVE the combination of the tights with the green shoes. I wore my only pair of green shoes every day until they got destroyed and fell apart. :/ You totally had me goin' with the dog story. I was like, "what in the world is she talkin' about?". I should've known, though. ;)

I nearly fell for that about the dog! :)

Toned down or not toned down, you make both looks work! individual fun and stylish!

Dream Job would be to create a revolution to liberate people from corruption, without going into the murky world of politics.

Where do you live that you can wear tights and jackets!!!! I live in Sweat-town, USA. It's 100 degrees today. Very limiting on the outfit choices.

I was about to be all, "OMWord, so sad about your lil' doggy." lolol. Meanwhile, your outfit still screams 'LEXY!!!' Glad you still remembered who you are despite who you meet.

Hmmm...my realistic dream job? To work for a NBA team. Probably as PR or something.
